A scientist, a schoolteacher, and a grocer walk into an empty room... It sounds like a joke, but it's actually the beginning of a Christian poet's society.
This is WONDERFUL! Such a testament to the Spirits work as you took a first step of obedient faith. And inspired me to pray in the same way! May this unnamed group begin birthing a glorious work proclaiming the Lord even now!
It’s really so exciting. When Allison first texted me the idea of getting a group together, my immediate reaction was to think of that quote about the introverts club—“we never meet.” 😂 Writing often feels solitary by default, and I like how Substack and local embodied groups can totally upend that vibe
I would adore being able to hang out in person, Nadia. I didn’t know you were a Christian, but with your luminous spirit, it makes immediate sense to me that you are. It’s good to see you back on Substack again!
Aww, you are so sweet, Amelia! I have so much reading to catch up to. It's been a pleasure reading your work and news. I am indeed. I am a bit torn because half of my family does not believe, and the other half is religious. I am in between. But I am gladdened to see more people moving towards faith these days, ESPECIALLY these days, strengthening the community again through love, compassion, belief, and other interests.

I hope He blesses it! We all felt so refreshed after the first meeting.
This is amazing. And, I loved loved loved that Incense on the Mountain essay back when it came out.

That is so beautiful how you all got together. If I were a local, you'd have an Orthodox Christian in your group :).
